to find homes for unwanted and surrendered Jack Russell Terrier dogs.

Most of our dogs are saved from death-row in the pounds.

What Jack Russell Rescue needs most of all is people who can

offer wonderful forever homes to lovely terriers saved from death row.

A bit overweight so could do with some exercise to tone him down. He appears to be a friendly boy and wiling to please. He comes desexed, microchip, vaccinated, wormed and heartworm tested for $300. "HARRY" Hi, my name is Harry, I am 4 years old, I have a tri-coloured coat and love to play ball and go for walks. I would prefer a home with no other pets, and would make a loving companion friend to a single or elderly person, or family with not very young children. "JED" Is believed to be around 8yo , not that you would know it, having looked after himself and being very fit. Jed is a loving little dog, who just needs someone to love him. A little dog who decided to practice one trick really hard, pack his bags, and run away and join the circus (things weren't that great at his old home). After many adventures he didn't find a circus and ended up at the Canberra Pound. As well as practicing to sit, stay, stand, stand up (his own trick) and heel, he follows his carer around constantly - a real helper dog. He responds well to food rewards. Walks well on a retractable leash though not so well on a short lead. Jed while active, only needs a short walk every day. He's a great guard dog who sounds as if he has been debarked. (Not too noisy for neighbours). He is house trained, and uses a doggy door. Jed is used to being an only dog and although is learning to get on with 3 other dogs would prefer his own home with his own family ('unless there's a nice female there" - Jed). Jed is now looking for the right owner, someone who wants a little helper dog to assist them in all they do. Jed comes de-sexed, vaccinated and heartworm tested for $200. "BONES" Bones would make a delightful member of any family - a very friendly boy, happy to greet anyone - but is a little timid with the more boisterous children. The pound had him as less than 1yr old, but I think he might be closer to 2 yrs old. The first night here, he slept in a crate on the porch, but since then has slept the nights on our bed. Bones gets on very well with our 5 dogs. He shows interest in the cats and does chase them if they run outside, but leaves them alone in the house. Bones would blossom with a forever home to call his own. He has learnt exceedingly quickly, and only with a warning sound, to not chase my indoor birds when they are out of their cages. He is very responsive to correction and will walk nicely on a lead. Bones would blossom with a forever home to call his own and be a delightful member of any family. He loves my kids, and is very loyal to me, following me from room to room. He prefers sit in front of the fire or on the dog couch, rather than on my knee.
