"JACK & MAISEY"

Thanks Jill and Sandra
For looking after us
Really we couldn't understand when
We got our new owners what was all the fuss

The first few days we walked up to their front door
We didn't want to stay in our new house with them anymore
But our new owners have grown on us
And now we love them as they are part of us

We're in a new routine
And managed to sleep in their bed
About which we were really keen
Under the covers where we can't be seen

We love going for walks
Around neighbouring streets
All the neighbours drop in
and think we look sweet

We love our back garden
Especially our little pool
We love to splash around in it
as it keeps up really cool

We do a little dance when we get fed
However, obedience classes we did dread
But we're much better for it and rightly so
We're looking forward to Santa coming
Ho, ho, ho, ho, ho!

Wishing you both a lovely Christmas.
We love our two little dogs.

Thank you both so much.
  Love Melisa and Ben Quigley

"Daizee"

Hi Jill,

Thanks for your Email. I was just about to send an Email to you today to let you know that little “Daizee" is settling in well.  She is finally enjoying her full backyard now that we finished fencing on Tuesday. I think we have house training pretty much under control now and we started puppy classes last Saturday.  She is learning all her commands very quickly and from 6-8pm each night seems to be manic time for her so we are learning how to diffuse that without coming out with too many injuries!!!  I have attached a couple of photos and will keep in touch as she grows.

Thanks for your good work. We are so glad we found our way to your website and are able to give a Jack a loving home.

Cheers,
Louise Gooddy & Jon Barber

DARLIN (Billie)

Hi Jill,
Just a short note to let you know how our Darlin (now known as Billie) is progressing. She has become such a treasured member of our family, which she has entwined around her little paw - almost, but not quite, including the 24-year-old cat. He still treats her with disdain, as he has all our dogs over the years, but has accepted that she is part of the household.

Billie has grown a lot in confidence, and just loves her walks, which usually have to last at least an hour to an hour and a half, and at quite a brisk pace, which is good for our wellbeing as well as hers! We're so glad you
rescued her. Keep up the good work!

Cheers,
Pam and Bruce

 "Daisy"

Hi Jill, Hi Heather. Firstly I would like to thank Heather and her Lovely partner for looking after me so well in foster care and finding me my forever home.
Now an update on my new home. Kogarah is great. I like my new Apartment where I've got plenty of space, my own bed and lots of toys. I get all the attention cos there's no other pets or kids.

We have massive parklands down the road with lots of things to chase including plenty of birds and other dogs. There's a doggy unleashing area and now my owners have my recall down pat they let me off the leash and let me chase the ball till I'm totally exhausted. I race around with the other dogs and have a great time. We also do heaps of walking around Botany Bay and Centennial Park. Sometimes we go to the beach where i go totally mental. I've learned lots of new commands and get a little yummy treat when i get them right.

Did i tell you I'm now a real Tradies Dog! During the week I get up really early and have a walk before work, then I drive in the truck to the jobsite where I help my boss and the other tradies with their work. They totally adore me and there's never a dull moment. Its hard work though, supervising, and letting them know when the work is substandard.

In the arvo I get a long walk which totally wears me out. In the evening I end up asleep on the lounge.

You wont believe this but on the weekends we go out on the harbour. Its fantastic fun. There's so much to look at and the other boaties totally adore me. I love life aboard the high seas and have only fallen overboard twice so far. My new doggie harness makes it real easy for the skipper to get me back on board. He reckons once I get my sea legs I'll be a full on sailor dog. Once summer comes, I'm going to have proper swimming lessons and if I keep falling overboard I'm going to get a fluoro doggie buoyancy vest, how cool!

I've attached a few images for you to check out. Many thanks again to Heather, Jill and all at JRT Rescue. I reckon there's a lot of Happy Jacks out there cos of their work.

Lots of Love,
Daisy.

We are very happy we found her to take the place of a little dog we loved so much.
Keep up the good work.

"ROXY"

Dear Sandra,

Please find enclosed snap of young Roxy and Jack. This photo was taken of them in our sunroom where, as you can imagine, they spend a lot of time when we are home, sunning themselves.

She has settled in really well, is very sharp and learns easily and is quite a cute little dog. More importantly, she gets on brilliantly with Jack who is also a gorgeous little dog. I take them for a walk every morning and she is now very easy to handle on the leash.

Note: I might add that Jackie was an older girl that we rescued from Canberra pound, she is 10 years old and JRT Rescue would like to thank Leanne & Glenn for giving her a loving home.

"JACKIE"

Dear Jill & Heather,

Just a quick update from the proud new parents of Jackie at Woy Woy.  Jackie joined our family nearly 4 months ago now and she has been a very welcome addition for us. Whilst she is still a little timid toward us, I think a memory of not so good times from her last home, she is slowly but surely show us her own personality which is lovely.

We already had Jack, a 14yr old JRT, and whilst they have not yet become best of friends, they tolerate each quite well, a few scrapes at the beginning has now turned to that Bored-JRT kind of indifference. She really is a lovely wee girl who loves cuddles and big pats and she came to the right place for that.  The only difficulty we've had is having 2 dogs names Jack & Jackie, it's hard to rouse on just one !!

I have sent some photo's..... Jackie taking on the surf, she really seems to love walking on the beach. Next to her step brother sleepy on the lounge, sitting out in the Garden, and snuggling in her basket.

Our many thanks to all your help in bringing Jackie to our home.
Keep up the great work the Russells of Australia need you!!

Leane & Glenn
