"JAXSON"
is a boy that we placed some 4 years ago
when he was only 7 years old.
Due to no fault of his own he ended up
with the RSPCA on the Central Coast with his mate a German Shepherd.
Unfortunately this was a marriage
breakdown.
Both dogs when they arrived at the RSPCA
was suffering with bad skin from fleas.
we tried to save both but sadly the German Shepherd was put to sleep.
"Jaxon's" skin has now recovered and his coat is now
growing over where there was just bare skin.
He is now looking for a loving home, on
his trip down to us he stayed with a couple of lovely ladies who volunteered
their time to transport him down to me.
While he stayed with both of them he got
on well with their dogs and appeared to be house trained. But not good with cats.
He is now looking for a new home and
comes desexed, microchip, vaccinated, wormed and heartworm tested for just

"LUCKY"
Is an older boy of 10 years old.
Lucky is enjoying the company of the other
dogs and follows me around.
He is a lovely dog who was obviously well cared
for.
He walks well both on and off the lead: I walk the 2 boys off the lead at
the beach and Lucky usually stays close to me; and I walk them on the lead
around our local streets.
Lucky has been given a new lease on life
with the younger dogs. He is now running with Corky on the beach. They get on
well. He is also quite gentle with Amy.
Lucky is looking for another chance and
a loving home to spend his later years.

"JED"
Is believed to be around 8yo , not that
you would know it, having looked after himself and being very fit. Jed is a
loving little dog, who just needs
someone to love him.
A little dog who decided to practice one
trick really hard, pack
his
bags, and run away and join the circus (things weren't that great at his old
home). After many adventures he didn't find a circus
and ended up at
the Canberra Pound.
As well as
practicing to sit, stay, stand, stand up (his own trick) and heel, he follows his carer around
constantly - a real helper dog. He
responds well to food rewards.
Walks well on a retractable leash
though not so well
on a short lead. Jed
while active, only needs a
short walk every day.
He's a
great guard dog who
sounds as if he has been debarked. (Not too noisy
for neighbours). He
is house trained,
and uses a doggy door.
Jed is used to being an only dog and
although is
learning to get on with
3 other dogs would prefer his own home with his
own family ('unless
there's a nice female there" - Jed).
Jed is
now looking for the right owner, someone
who wants a little helper dog to
assist them in all they do.

"BELLA"
is an 18 months old rough coated girl.
Testimonial for Zoe (Bella)
Zoe came to us for a trial period in late
January this year to live with us and our 10 mth-old puppy Harriet, also a Jack
Russell. We were very happy to find that she was toilet-trained.
We found her to be a gentle and very
affectionate girl and she almost immediately settled into our household, palling
up with Harriet and savouring plenty of doggie treats (especially 'chomp n
chews' and pigs ears!). She loves cuddles and would often curl up at our feet if
we were sitting at the table. Although she is quite shy, and very gentle with
our small nephew, this never stopped her from boldly jumping on our lap on the
couch and also guarding our house, letting us know when visitors arrive. She
also loves her food, putting on nearly half a kilo in her month with us.
Zoe had limited experience on a lead when
we got her but spent many mornings since then walking with a harness. Though she
was a little timid at first, particularly around loud traffic noise, she has
made great progress and would benefit from more lead walking to boost her
confidence even further. Her gentle nature means she doesn't pull at the lead
like some little dogs, making it a very enjoyable activity. She also especially
loved running with Harriet at the off-leash park near our house.
Unfortunately, dominance issues with
Harriet ultimately meant they had to be separated and we reluctantly returned
her to Jill, with much sadness. We will miss her but know that she will soon
have some very lucky new owners.
